To celebrate the launch of our friends very own Lincolnshire Distilled Gin, Pin Gin, we’re sharing one of our favourite gin-recipes – the classic Clover Club and trialling it with Lincolnshire Pin Gin.
Pre-dating Prohibition, and named after a Philadelphia men’s club, the Clover Club dates back to 1896 and has been on the bar scene ever since. Here at The Comfy Duck our perfect serve for the Clover Club is 2 Raspberry Syrup, 2 Lincolnshire Pin Gin, 1 French Vermouth, 1 Egg White, shaken and strained into a martini glass. In the summer we garnish with an edible flower that has been grown in our grounds at the Oaklands Hall Hotel.
The botanicals in Pin Gin work perfectly in this cocktail, peppercorns, rose and lavender with the raspberry syrup in the Clover Club, make for a perfect floral and slightly sweet tasting.
